Jamshid Zokirov
Jamshid Karimovich Zokirov was an Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, as well as a film and theater actor.
Having battled cancer for the last year of his life, Jamshid Zokirov passed away on April 7, 2012.
Jamshid Zokirov was born on July 11, 1948, in Tashkent. He graduated from the Institute of Theater and Fine Arts in 1971. He had been working at the National Theater of Drama of Uzbekistan since that time. In 1995, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan. He married the talented actress Gavhar Zokirova, and they raised one son. Like his father Jamshid Zokirov, Javohir Zokirov continues to work with genuine devotion to his profession.
